Garden Cities Qualifier
This is the county inter-club teams-of-eight championship, with participating teams representing their ACBA affiliated club. Clubs may enter more than one team to represent them. The winning club earns the right to represent Avon in the EBU South-West Regional Final in May. All team players must be bonafide members of the Club that they represent.
Regarding the format and scoring in this event, each team of eight is split into two teams of four ('A' & 'B'), with all 'A' teams playing each other in a Multiple Teams movement and similarly for the 'B' teams. The results of the 'A' and 'B' team are then combined to produce a final VP result for the team of eight. There will be a short break at the half-way stage for light refreshments.
Pre-entry is essential (please let the ACBA Tournament Secretary know or sign up on the entry form sent to clubs). Table money is £5 per player, which includes tea/coffee/biscuits during the halfway break.
